The rain and bad weather over the weekend didn't keep the softball players away from Houlton's Community Park. In fact, people came out in droves to show their support for the late Aaron Henderson and to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.

This year's event is being haled a success. Event organizers say the 2nd Annual Aaron Henderson Memorial Softball Tournament brought in a grand total of $5,235.00. Last year's event brought in $3,300.00. All proceeds are being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of he late Army SFC Aaron Henderson.

SFC Henderson lost his life in the fall of 2012 while serving in Afghanistan. He served with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and was born and raised in Houlton.

The Co-Ed softball tournament was held at Community Park in Houlton over the weekend. There were raffles on items ranging from gift cards, to a new softball bat, signed autographs from 3 UFC fighters and much more. All proceeds are being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Have a look at some of the pictures that were taken at this weekends tournament.

The team with the trophy is Lincoln's out of Woodland, who took 1st place in the tournament. The Houlton Farms Dairy team took 2nd place.
