Two people are facing felony charges after Penobscot County officials conducted a search of a house on First Street in Bangor.

Where Was the Search?

It was just after 4:00 Sunday afternoon when members of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 65 First Street in Bangor. The street was lined with PCSO and Bangor Police cruisers as officials conducted the search that was the result of information developed during a drug investigation.

What Was the Result of this Investigation?

During the search, officials seized various amounts of illegal drugs including Fentanyl and cocaine base, which is also known as crack cocaine.

Two people were arrested as a result of this investigation:

  • Duane Brown, 38, is charged with violation of conditions of release, aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. Brown was also out on probation at the time of his arrest.
  • Mindy Rouse, 35, is charged with violation of conditions of release, falsifying physical evidence, aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

This remains an active investigation.
