2nd Annual Aaron Henderson Memorial Softball Tournament to be Held in Houlton this Weekend
For the second year in a row, friends and family of the late Army SFC Aaron Henderson will come together in his honor to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project with a weekend softball tournament in Houlton.
SFC Henderson lost his life in the fall of 2012 while serving in Afghanistan. He served with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and was born and raised in Houlton.
He holds a special place in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Co-Ed softball tournament being slated as the 2nd Annual Aaron Henderson Memorial Softball Tournament will take place at Community Park in Houlton this weekend. Opening ceremonies will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
There will be raffles on items ranging from gift cards, to a new softball bat, signed autographs from 3 UFC fighters and much more! All the money raised will go to Wounded Warrior Project in SFC Henderson's honor.
Organizers of the even are hoping for a huge response so they can continue this tradition every year in honor of SFC Henderson.
