2 Aroostook County Airports will Receive Grant Money
The U.S. Department of Transportation approved funding for a number of Maine’s airports earlier today.

2 airports right here in Aroostook County will receive some of that money. Northern Aroostook Regional Airport in Frenchville will get almost $250,000 to construct a hangar building and make runway repairs.
The Northern Maine Regional Airport in Presque Isle will receive $216,000 to remove obstructions in Runway 01 approach and transitional surfaces. The grant will provide funding to install wind cones, which will enhance aircraft visual guidance and enhance safety of aircraft movements.
