Well it was a chilly trek and one of the quickest parades I've seen, but fans came out in droves to get a look at the Boston Red Sox 2013 World Series trophy as it made its way down Main Street in a parade of First Responders. It all coincides with the 2014 IBU Youth/Junior Biathlon World Championships which are taking place at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle this week.

The trophy made it to its final destination for a public viewing at the Aroostook Centre Mall, where baseball fans were lining up to witness this symbol of New England sports history. Young athletes from around the world that are taking part in this week's IBU World Biathlon Championships were also on hand, in part for the festivities, but also for a ceremony of their own.

Racing continues tomorrow at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle and the temperatures are supposed to be a bit warmer so the final two days of competition will be the ones to watch.
