Woman Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Sussex Corner

Police say a 48-year-old woman from Sussex Corner, N.B. was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday evening.

The woman was driving alone on the Post Road in Sussex Corner at around 7 p.m. when her motorcycle went off the road and crashed into a tree, according to Sgt. Jim MacPherson of the Sussex RCMP.

The woman died of her injuries at the scene.

MacPherson said the preliminary investigation suggests speed was likely a contributing factor to the crash.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of a collision reconstructionist.
