Willie Nelson will head to Las Vegas in October of 2019 for a six-night string of shows at The Venetian, News 3 Las Vegas reports. The upcoming limited-engagement showcase, called Vegas on My Mind, will kick off on Oct. 18.

Nelson's Vegas on My Mind show dates are Oct. 18, 19, 22, 23, 25 and 26, all at 8PM. Tickets for the general public will go on sale on June 21.

That same day, Nelson will release his forthcoming new album, Ride Me Back Home. The iconic singer shared the title track of that project back in April, along with the full track listing for the new record. During a recent industry listening party for the project in April of 2019, Nelson's producer and long-time collaborator Buddy Cannon reminisced about the work he has done with the country superstar over the last decade. The pair co-write frequently, Cannon explained, but only over text message.

"We've written 50 songs that way. We've never sat down with a guitar [to write]," he explained. "We're afraid it might not work."

A sizable chunk of Nelson's recent work has taken a sociopolitical slant, including the album's re-imagined version of "Immigrant Eyes," originally penned by Guy Clark and Roger Murrah, During the listening party, Cannon remarked on the importance of Nelson's work in today's political climate.

Ride Me Back Home will mark the third album Nelson has released in three years, following 2017's God's Problem Child and 2018's Last Man Standing. In addition to his own new material, the legendary singer also contributed to the newest album from his son's band, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, which drops on June 14.
