Caribou Police arrested a 37-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman around 12:33 am, August 7 on multiple charges including possession of drugs.

The arrests came after a traffic stop and report of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck operating erratically. Police said, through the investigation Sergeant Chad Cochran located a large amount of meth & crack.

Thomas Pond from Westfield was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs - a class A felony because a firearm was also located in the vehicle. He is also charged with possession of schedule W drugs - a class C felony because of the amount in his possession, said CPD.

Kayla Hanson from Presque Isle was arrested for an active warrant. She is also charged with possession of schedule w drugs and violation of conditional release.

Pond & Hanson were transported to the Aroostook County Jail. They will appear in court, September 5.
