Washburn Man Fled Traffic Stop; Wanted on Multiple Charges [PHOTO]
47-year-old Edward Saucier of Washburn is wanted for operating after habitual offender suspension, violation of conditions of release and refusal to submit to arrest or detention.
Saucier jumed out of the passenger side of the vehicle, and fled into the woods after a traffic stop Friday morning around 11 am on High Meadow Road in Perham, said the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies did not find him after a search of the area.
Deputy Sheriff Sgt. Matt Cummings made the stop after encountering the vehicle that was noted to have several motor vehicle defects. The Sheriff’s Office said Saucier was operating after suspension, habitual offender, and is out on 4 sets of conditions of release stemming from previous unrelated arrests.
An arrest warrant has been is issued, said Chief Deputy Sheriff Shawn Gillen.
