The Washburn girls were pushed to the limit by Katadhin in Saturday's finale at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

The game came down to the wire, before #2 Washburn prevailed over #7 Katadhin, 67-62, in their Class D quarterfinals match-up.

Washburn's offensive output was led by Emilia Churchill and Laina Mette, who scored 23 and 16 points respectively. Katadhin got a game-high 27 points from Courtney Stevens in the losing effort.

Washburn advances to the Class D North semifinals where they will face the #3 seeded SHEAD Tigers.
