Walk It Up, Presque Isle! is an annual walk to end abuse hosted by Hope & Justice Project.  The walk will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 14th and will start and finish at the Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and as a part of the month, Hope & Justice Project will host their 3rd Annual Walk It Up, Presque Isle! event.

At 11:00AM, Hope & Justice Project educators will engage children in Story Time and face-painting at the library.  At this time, participants who have pre-registered online can pick up their free t-shirt and those who have not registered can register in-person.  At 12:00 PM, participants will walk together to Riverside Park where a survivor of domestic abuse will share her story.  Participants will then make their way back to the library where lunch will be provided.

“This event is so inspiring to be a part of,” said Casey Faulkingham, Hope & Justice Project’s Prevention & Training Coordinator. “Every year, the community comes out in full force to show their support for those affected by abuse and violence.”

Participants can pre-register for the walk online at http://hopeandjusticeproject.org/walk-it-up-presque-isle-pre-registration/.
