UM Series With UMBC Cancelled

The start for America East Conference play for the UMaine Black Bears will have to wait at little longer.

The series with the UMBC Retrievers has been cancelled, according to a release by the university on Friday afternoon.  The teams were scheduled to play a three game series from Maryland.  The games have not been rescheduled at this time.  Both sides will play in Orono on May 6th.

The Black Bears are 6-10 on the season after their last four games to UMass and Miami in Florida.  Maine will play St John's in a three-game set next Saturday with the conference opener now getting underway on April 1st from Lowell.
