Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley are having a baby boy! The Florida Georgia Line star learned the news during an appearance on Ellen on Thursday (Feb. 21).

Hubbard and duo partner Brian Kelley sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to talk about their new album, Can't Say I Ain't Country, when the conversation turned to the topic of the Hubbards' new baby on the way. Hubbard shared that he and Hayley were planning to find out soon -- but not quite as soon as DeGeneres had in mind.

"Don't you want to find out today?" DeGeneres asked. Answered Hubbard, "I would love to find out today!" So, DeGeneres pulled out an envelope with the big news sealed inside.

DeGeneres wasn't just going to open that envelope, though: She'd engineered a full-on event. After the Hubbards both made their guesses as to Baby No. 2's sex -- he thought boy; she though boy, "but because I think it's a boy, it's probably a girl" -- Kelley and DeGeneres pressed a big red button to deploy confetti cannons ... full of blue confetti.

"I thought we were just gonna cut a cake or something on Friday!" Hubbard said with a laugh.

The Hubbards' second child will join big sister Olivia Rose, who was born in December of 2017 -- and they're likely hoping that, this time around, this first gender reveal party is the right one! In June of 2017, the Hubbards disclosed the sex -- or so they thought -- of their first bundle of joy at a gender reveal party that they shared on social media. However, in early August, the couple learned that their original test results were incorrect, and Olivia would be a she, not a he.

The Hubbards announced that they are expecting their second child on Feb. 9, during music executive Clive Davis' 43rd annual pre-Grammy Awards event. Baby No. 2 is due on Aug. 19.
