Thomas Rhett’s Wife, Lauren, Chops Her Hair Off for a Good Cause
Thomas Rhett's wife, Lauren Akins, has gone short(er) for a good cause. The new mother of two shared her new haircut in an adorable picture in which her toddler, Willa Gray, is all smiles, holding a foot of mama's hair in her hands.
"Willa Gray got into my scissors this morning hahah jk," Lauren writes on Instagram. "We just had a day date at @thedryhousenashville and Ali chopped over a FOOT off my hair. #mamaneededlesshair #ifeelfreeeeeee @pantene my excess hair is coming your way!"

Akins shares that she'll be donating those 12 inches of excess hair to Pantene, who host a movement called Pantene Beautiful Lengths, which uses donor hair to make real-hair wigs for women with cancer who may have lost their hair during treatments.
Pantene Beautiful Lengths launched in July 2006, and since then, more than 800,000 ponytails have been donated. Those donations have made it possible to give 42,000 real-hair wigs to the national American Cancer Society Wig Bank, which help serve those in need every day.
"Our goal is simple. We want to make it possible for women everywhere to share their hair with women who’ve lost theirs," Pantene Beautiful Lengths explain on their website. Those interested in making a hair donation of their own can do so through the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Hair donations must be at least 8 inches long.
According to Akins' Instagram stories, Willa Gray got a temporary tattoo from her friends at the Dry House in addition to the sucker she's enjoying in the pic.
