This Senior Dog Was in a High-Kill Shelter, Now He’s in Maine and Ready for a New Home
When Rusty's owners grew too old to give him the life he deserved, they had to make a very difficult decision. Rusty was surrendered to a high-kill shelter after living his entire life with the same humans. That's when Alpha Dog Rescue stepped in to spare Rusty's life. Now he's in Maine as we waits for his new family.
Rusty is an 8-year old lab/hound mix with an easy-going and friendly personality. His face may be a little white with age and he may be creeping up on his senior years, but he's got plenty of spring in his step for an older pup.
Rusty is a sweetheart and gets along with anyone and anything, he is very spry, loves to go for walks, play ball and loves attention and affections. He is quiet, super friendly to all and very docile. He is house/crate trained and very easy to take care of all he needs is love he is just the sweetest guy! He definitely has many great years left in him and is the perfect medium size at 48lbs.
