The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest 2017 kicked off with the ribbon burning Thursday at the Fairgrounds. Townsquare Media covered it live!

The balloons did not launch Thursday evening due to the weather, but we had a really good time with the great peolpe who came out! Thanks to the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce for such an awesome time Thursday! Thanks to Wireless Zone of Maine for sponsoring Townsquare Media’s live remote!

We’re broadcasting Friday & Saturday from 5 – 7 p.m. Our Facebook pages have it all - Big Country 96.9, Q96.1 & 101.9 The Rock!

There are all kinds of things to do on Friday! Craft & vendors are open from 4-9pm, tickets on sale for tethered balloon rides at 4pm, mass ascension at 5:30pm, tethered balloon rides launch, 6pm, live music from ‘No Pressure’ from 6:30-8:30pm, and the balloon glow at dusk.
