The first significant snowfall of the season in Aroostook County will make for some slippery roads from now to Sunday.

Yes, you read that headline correctly! The National Weather Service Office in Caribou as well as Environment Canada have issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most of Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick for late Thursday evening through 1 p.m. on Friday, April 10th, 2015.

Brace yourself, the first snow storm of March 2015 is on its way to Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick.

You may have woke up this morning to light snow falling from the sky. The good news is we're not getting a blizzard. The bad news is that Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick will indeed see some snow accumulation throughout the day. The National Weather Service Office in Caribou has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, and that remains in effect until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Ready or not, another significant snow storm is on its way to Northern Maine and Western New Brunswick just in time for the weekend.

It looks like some winter weather is on it's way to Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick Saturday night in to Sunday, as a low pressure system makes it way over the area bringing a wintery mix with it.

You may be waking up to some snow already on the ground this morning in Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick.
