Appointments on the online tool (covid.northernlighthealth.org) will be open to the public on Monday, May 17, at 2 pm.

As of Wednesday, more than 151,000 people in Maine have received their first dose of the vaccine. A little more than 57,000 are fully vaccinated.

Maine is perennially among the states with the highest median age.

Both hospitals are receiving more doses Monday and will be offering vaccines this afternoon to those who may need it.

There is a 14-day window after exposure to the virus during which vaccination can be effective.

The governor's administration has backed the bill to ending non-medical vaccine opt-outs by 2021.
