Some nasty and potentials dangerous weather is headed our way today.

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued an extended forecast through the end of this week that calls for up to 5-6 inches of rain for parts of central and northern Maine.

Down east Maine and south-west New Brunswick took the brunt of a torrential rain storm Friday that caused widespread flooding and broke rainfall records.

With the substantial amount of rain that found its way to the ground here in Aroostook County over the weekend, many local ATV clubs are warning riders to steer clear of the trails.
