There have been several reports in recent weeks of vehicles being broken into and items missing in residential neighborhoods in Presque Isle. Many of the incidents I have been informed of have occurred in neighborhoods on the northern and western part of Presque Isle. A truck was stolen from a home on Hillside Street sometime in the late-night hours of Sunday into the early hours of Monday morning

18-Year-old Mason Langille, of Mapleton, woke the neighborhood of Dupont Drive and surrounding areas, between midnight and 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police believe that a loaded AR-15 rifle was hidden in nearby residences’ hedges or bushes. They ask that everyone in the area be vigilant and carefully look over your property. Residents on Dupont Drive, Harvest Lane, Mantle Lake Park, Pine, Maple, and Dudley Streets

Authorities say that they have arrested 25-year-old Joseph Oldenburg and 29-year-old Macie Jones. Both of the potential offenders are residents of Caribou

The Presque Isle Police Department responded to a call around noontime of a man shooting a handgun behind 174 Main Street. Officers responded immediately and were assisted by Maine State Police, Aroostook County Sheriffs, Presque Isle Fire Department and other agencies

Information about the hack at the Presque Isle Police Department came out in mid-April.

Three patrol officers have been promoted to the rank of sergeant at the Presque Isle Police Department (PIPD).
