Presque Isle baseball and softball split with John Bapst, Katahdin swept Madawaska baseball, and Houlton softball picked up a win over MCI.

The Northern Maine Moose girls lacrosse team earned its first win, Presque Isle edged Fort Kent, Katahdin topped Washburn, and Van Buren and Madawaska split in tennis.

Presque Isle swept the girls and boys team titles at the PVC Week Two Track Meet, with Caribou finishing second in both standings.

Caribou hosted the MPA Region 1 Singles Qualifier on Saturday, with five girls and five boys advancing after a strong day of County tennis.

Presque Isle’s Breanna Burlock is the Spring Week One Athlete of the Week after placing in four events during a strong opening meet.

Houlton softball and Fort Kent baseball picked up County wins Wednesday, while Region 1 tennis singles seeds are set for Saturday in Caribou.

Caribou’s Emma Graves finished 5th overall as the Maine State Nordic Skiing Championships wrapped up at Lonesome Pines in Fort Kent with the girls pursuit races.

Five County tournament games were played Saturday in Bangor, plus Presque Isle hockey won twice and Caribou’s Brock Gagnon won a Class B state wrestling title. Full roundup with leaders here.

Presque Isle battled top-seed Cony but fell 63-51 in the Class B quarterfinal. Kason Bua scored 14 points and the Wildcats finished the season 10-10.
