Maine Woman Killed

An Aroostook County woman died Tuesday after the pickup she was driving went off the interstate in New Hampshire and crashed into a tree.

Investigators believe Dempsey lost control on black ice, and the vehicle skidded off the road and hit a rock before rolling onto its roof into the brook.

Troopers said the truck was speeding and 38-year-old Elizabeth Simmons of Sidney was not wearing her seat belt.
