It might be hard to believe, but we are starting to enter the final quarter of the academic school year in Maine. Seniors graduating this spring are beginning to see awards and honors roll in, and this week one local student received a prestigious honor.

Parents, grandparents, athletes, coaches, and fans of Presque Isle athletics will have a new website to keep up on all of the news and information on the school’s programs.

The winter sports season for high school sports in Maine is slated to begin next Monday and many athletes, coaches, administrators, and parents have been awaiting on guidance for the upcoming seasons. On Thursday the Maine Principal's Association (MPA) officially released their guidelines for the 2021-22 winter sports seasons.

The weather on Saturday in Presque Isle was perfect for the Class C & D State Championships. Aroostook County had two teams competing in their respective classes. It was a busy day at the Gehrig Johnson Athletic Complex with teams and fans from all over Maine, coming to Presque Isle.

As the fall sports season for high schools in Maine winds down this weekend, many awards and honors are being announced. The Maine Soccer Coaches Association released their 2021 Regional All-Stars, with several athletes from Aroostook County schools being recognized. Seniors that were selected will have the opportunity to play in the Senior Bowl, later this month at Hampden Academy

Two teams from Aroostook County High Schools are playing in the state championships for soccer on Saturday in Presque Isle

The boys' soccer team from Wisdom took a trip down to Bangor on Saturday to take on the #1 seed Bangor Christian Patriots in the semi-final round. Wisdom picked up the early morning win and have advanced to the Class D Northern Maine Regional Final to be played on Tuesday in Presque Isle.

The soccer field at Fort Kent Community High School was an electric atmosphere on Friday night as the girls' and boys' teams both played in the semi-final round, of the high school soccer playoffs. There were four games in total involving teams from Aroostook County, with three advancing

We have reached the quarterfinal round in the Maine Principal's Association high school soccer playoffs. Tuesday's games in Aroostook County were incredibly competitive with all four games being decided by one goal. Two of the four games went in to overtime, with one matchup being decided by penalty kicks.
