Human Remains Found

Two hikers found the remains in a wooded area near around 6 pm on Friday.

Officials said the remains were located near the Fabbri Picnic Area.

Maine State Police said they do not believe there is a threat to the public.

The State Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to positively identify the body.
