Bank Robbery

A 41-year-old man was sentenced to 3 years in prison for a bank robbery in Maine.

He showed a note to the teller that said he had an explosive device and demanded money.

The suspect led police on a series of high speed chases that lasted from November 1 to November 3.

Police said the man threatened the staff and exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Shediac RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery Thursday afternoon at a bank in Shediac, N.B.

Bangor police identified the robbery suspect as 43-year-old Earl Torrence of Bangor, who allegedly fled in a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Corey Violette, also of Bangor.

A Lewiston Maine man has been indicted for his roll in a bank robbery in June at the Androscoggin Bank in Lewiston. If convicted, he faces prison time and a hefty fine.

A 30-year-old woman is charged with aiding and abetting bank robbery and Hobbs Act robbery after TD Bank and Dollar Tree store robberies in Bangor in May. She pleaded guilty Tuesday.
