Maddie & Tae member Tae Dye had an exciting Labor Day: The singer and her boyfriend, songwriter Josh Kerr, got engaged on Monday (Sept. 2).

Per Instagram photos from both Dye and Kerr, he got down on one knee over the holiday weekend, on the front porch of his house. Pictures shared on their accounts show Kerr proposing to Dye, as well as the pair celebrating their engagement with kisses, hugs and champagne.

"Bought the house. got the ring. asked her dad. got the girl. 💍💍 forever started Sept 2nd. I love you @taylordye," writes Kerr. Adds Dye, "can’t wait to love you forever Joshua Peter Kerr ❤️ WE’RE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!"

Dye and Kerr have been dating since early 2018; her first Instagram post featuring him came that April. Kerr is a songwriter and producer with Black River Publishing. He has worked with, among others, Kelsea Ballerini and Abby Anderson and recently released a single of his own, "Still Our Town."

Dye and Kerr will have a close friend to look to when wedding planning: Dye's duo partner, Maddie Marlow, is set to marry her fiance, Jonah Font, this fall. The two got engaged in 2018, after meeting in high school and dating for several years.

Professionally, Maddie & Tae are preparing to hit the road again this fall, for the second leg of Carrie Underwood's 2019 Cry Pretty Tour 360. They're also nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards.
