Ryan Guerrette & Sherry Locke, United Way of Aroostook, explain the importance of Stuff the Bus for our local communities:
Stuff the Bus Aroostook is a great way for the community to support our local students as they go back to school. Having the right supplies sets the tone for our local students and helps them start the year off on the right foot.
As a community we can come together to provide these basic supplies, some for just pennies, to ensure that our future leaders have the tools they need to succeed. New school supplies can be dropped off in the bins located at the PI and Houlton Walmart stores from July 6th through August 10th or Adopt A Block in Houlton, United Way of Aroostook or any ACAP location.
Our goal is to provide supplies to as many students and local schools as possible as the need is growing and these supplies make such a big difference for our students. All of the supplies collected will stay local and more specifically all of the supplies collected at the Houlton locations will be shared with students and schools in the southern portion of the county.
