Storm Cancellations, Delays & Closings – February 19

More winter weather has moved in to the area and some storm related cancellations, closings and delays have been coming in for Thursday, February 19th, 2015.

The storm is expected to bring between 6 and 10 inches of snow to the Aroostook County area with lesser amounts in Western New Brunswick. The storm is expected to wind down by 10 a.m. on Friday.

We have some cancellations and delays to pass along to you.

Events:

There will be no To-Shin Do classes held tonight at Houlton Martial Arts due to the weather.

Due to the weather and poor driving conditions, AYBL open gym scheduled for today (2/19) from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the Hodgdon Junior High basketball team has been cancelled.

All church activities at the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church are cancelled tonight. This includes Worship Practice, Choir, Celebrate Recovery and "You and me Forever".

The Houlton First Baptist Church Senior Supper has been Postponed to February 26th.

Music Jam at the Sherman Rec. scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. has been cancelled for tonight.

RSU 39 Caribou Adult Ed has cancelled all evening classes for tonight, Feb. 19. Also, the certified ME Assessors Course will begin next Thursday, February 26th.

All Star Gymnastics has cancelled classes for tonight.

Businesses:

The Houlton Rec. Department will be closing at 4 p.m. today. All programs including Zumba, Pi-Yo, Men's Gym and Martial Arts are cancelled for tonight.

The John Millar Civic Center will still be open for Public Skate today from 2-4, but will close following that due to weather - that means no practices this evening.

The Eagles Nest in Woodstock will be closing at 5 p.m. today.

The Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle is closing early due to road conditions.
