Monday, at approximately 2 p.m., the Blackville RCMP responded to a report from the public that bottles containing flammable liquids, also known as “Molotov cocktails,” had been left in front of the Blackville Credit Union on Main Street, said police.

Molotov cocktails are explosive devices, but fortunately they were seized and no damages or injuries occurred, said police.

This is a very serious crime, which could have resulted in severe injuries, death, and extensive damages,” says Cpl. Richard Girouard with the Blackville RCMP. “We’re asking anyone with information about this incident, or information about who was in possession of these explosives to please contact police or CrimeStoppers.”
