As part of ongoing efforts to eradicate outdoor grow operations in the province, the New Brunswick RCMP have removed over 9000 marijuana plants over the past few weeks. Once mature, these plants could have produced up to 4.5 million marijuana joints.

Police - along with the support of other government agencies throughout New Brunswick -conducted searches in over 300 suspected growing sites. Some of the grow sites had booby traps in an attempt to stop people from reaching the grow areas, however, they were dismantled and seized without any injuries, said police.

The investigation into these grow operations is continuing.

The RCMP needs the public’s help to eradicate marijuana grow-ops.
