RCMP have released security camera photos of a suspect in an attempted armed robbery Tuesday night at a McDonald’s restaurant  in Campbellton, N.B.

Police say a man entered the restaurant on Roseberry Street at approximately 8:30 p.m., jumped onto the counter and demanded money from the staff. Two McDonald’s employees struggled with the man before he ran out.

One employee did receive minor injuries and was transported to hospital as a precaution, according to Campbellton RCMP. Two other people who were in the restaurant at the time of the armed robbery were taken to hospital and treated for shock.

Police are looking for a man of medium height, weighing approximately 160 lbs with dark hair and a clean-shaven face. He was wearing a black hoodie with white lettering on the front along with a black jacket with red markings and blue jeans.

The man took off on foot, heading south direction along George Street.

Anyone who may have been in the area of the McDonald’s on Roseberry Street between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5 and saw a person matching the description of the suspect is asked to contact the Campbellton RCMP at 506-789-6000 or anonymously through NB Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477),
