The RCMP is asking for the public's help as they investigate a suspicious vehicle fire that occurred early Sunday morning in Salisbury West, New Brunswick.

The Caledonia Region RCMP and the Salisbury Fire Department responded to a report shortly after 6:00 a.m. of a Bobcat skid-steer loader on fire on Route 106 just west of Moncton. The skid-steer, which was unoccupied at the time, was destroyed by the blaze.

The investigation deemed the fire to be suspicious in nature, and police continue to investigate the cause.

Investigators are looking for information and video surveillance footage

The RCMP is asking residents of Salisbury and the surrounding areas who have outdoor surveillance cameras or trail cameras to check their recordings for any suspicious activity between 5:00 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, March 27.

Police are also asking anyone who was driving through the area during those hours and has dash-cam footage to call the Caledonia Region RCMP.

Anyone who has information about this fire or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the early morning hours of March 27, is asked to contact the Caledonia Region RCMP at 506-387-2222.

Information can also be provided anonymously through New Brunswick Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation is ongoing.
