An extensive search of the area was conducted with police going door to door in the local neighbourhood as well as checking a large wooded area nearby. There was no clear indication of which direction he may have been heading and the search was called off when he wasn't located in that immediate area, according to police.

Although police will talk to Squires about the incident yesterday, the main focus right now is his well-being to ensure that he is okay, said police. Travis Squires is described as slender, approximately 5' 9" tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing white shorts and either a red shirt or jacket.

Police are continuing to follow leads and anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to call 506-857-2400. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers online at http://www.crimenb.ca/, calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or texting TIP212 + your message to 'CRIMES' (274637).
