RaeLynn has found a new way to express the relief that comes with an overdue breakup. "Bra Off" is a metaphor anyone can understand, even if it's one only a portion of her audience can appreciate.

The hook of the funky, pop-country rocker is that kicking a guy to the curb feels like taking an uncomfortable bra off. It's a not-quite-tongue-in-cheek way of saying it feels dang good to cast aside expectations and do what feels right. The singer sells the Emily Weisband and Josh Kerr co-write like she lived it last week. Confidence continues to be no issue for RaeLynn, a dynamic storyteller capable of rare vulnerability and bravado.

Fan demand prompted RaeLynn to release "Bra Off" as the first sample of a forthcoming EP that promises more of her "sass and humor" (per a press release). The Texan has always been at her best when she isn't chasing radio airplay, but writing and recording songs that more niche audiences respond to physiologically. That describes "Bra Off," a jam that is sure to elicit a strong response.

Did You Know?: RaeLynn is the second artist on Florida Georgia Line's new record label, Round Here Records.

RaeLynn's "Bra Off" Lyrics:

I knew it was over when you called and I cringed / I knew it was over when I didn't want us kissing / Over when I had people asking about you / And all I said was 'Uhh.'

Chorus:
Breaking up with you is like taking my bra off / Feeling free and loose like this t-shirt I got on / I should be trying, grieving some kind of loss / But it's like taking this pink and lacy, suffocating bra off.

I knew it was over when you called me Babe / And I wanted to throw up cause I don't wanna be your baby / Over like a work day, like you 9 to 5 / Yeah I think you're a really nice guy but ...

Repeat Chorus

Breaking up with you is like having a day off / Sitting on my couch sipping Jack, eating Dippin' Dots / Breaking up with you is like taking my bra off / Feeling free and loose like this t-shirt I got on / I should be trying, grieving some kind of loss / But it's like taking this pink and lacy, suffocating, push-up, flakey, too tight, stupid, bra off.
