You may have seen some people in your travels with purple pinkies today, especially if you're in the Presque Isle area.

What's that all about? Simple, really!

People are having their pinkies painted purple for World Polio Day, a fundraising effort to end Polio worldwide. People have donated $1 toward the cause. The event is being put on by the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the Presque Isle Rotary Club.

A few of us from Townsquare Media went and had our pinkies painted too!

We had a chance to speak with a couple of Rotary Club members, too.

Here is Joy Barresi Saucier.

Another clip from Joy.

Rachel Rice clip.

Don't worry though, if you're feeling left out, there is still time for you to have your pinkie painted too!
