Pump Prices Still Holding Steady in New England
With the temperature soaring recently, the price of gasoline, luckily, has not.
According to GasBuddy.com's survey of gas outlets around the state, prices at the pump here in Maine haven't changed in the last week. The average price for a gallon of gas checked in at $2.83, the same as last week. In Presque Isle, prices Monday morning were a little higher than the statewide average, showing up at $2.88 a gallon.
New Hampshire gas prices saw a slight dip in price over the last week to an average $2.80 a gallon. An average gallon of gas in Vermont cost $2.89, an increase of 1.2 cents over last week's price.
Meanwhile, the national average dropped 6.1 cents a gallon in the last month to $2.85 a gallon. That's still 60 cents a gallon higher than last year at this time.
