A Presque Isle man was injured Saturday morning when the pickup truck he was driving crashed on the Interstate in Island Falls.
State Police say 22-year-old Stephen Kimball of Presque Isle was traveling north on I-95 shortly before 8 a.m. when he fell asleep at the wheel. Kimball’s 2005 Chevrolet pickup went off the highway, went into the median, rolled over several times, and struck a tree, according to a press release from Corp. Chuck Michaud.
Kimball was transported by Island Falls Ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital. Police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening. The vehicle was a total loss.
