Positive Identification Made of Missing Waldoboro Man
UPDATE:
A positive identification was made of a Waldoboro man who was found Tuesday, May 8th, along the banks of the Penobscot River in Searsport.
Steven Reed's remains were taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta where positive identification was made. His relatives were notified over the weekend, said Stephen McCausland, Maine Public Safety Spokesman.
Reed was last seen leaving Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on November 4 after being discharged.
Searsport Police and State Police detectives coordinated the recovery of Reed’s body from the river bank after it was discovered on Tuesday afternoon, May 8th.

The Maine State Police are looking for 64-year-old Waldoboro man missing since November. He was last seen in Bangor.
Steven A. Reed is an alcoholic and has suffered from periods of depression, said Stephen McCausland, Maine Public Safety Spokesman. Reed is described as 5’10” tall, weighing 185 lbs. He has brown eyes and salt and pepper hair.
