Pickup and Moose Crash in Mapleton [PHOTO]

A 38-year-old Mapleton man was uninjured after he hit a moose in the roadway on Mapleton Road early Friday morning.

Shaun Hollabaugh was was unable to avoid the moose in the road around 2 a.m., said Sgt. Jeffrey C. Clark of the Maine State Police. The driver’s side of Hollabaugh’s Toyota pickup was extensively damaged in the accident.

Trooper Ryan Kilcollins reported to the scene.
