Perth-Andover & Area Refugee Support is a community group working toward sponsoring at least one family of Syrian refugees to resettle in Perth-Andover this year.

The group has raised several thousand dollars over the past few months with the goal of providing support for the family (or families) for one full year.

They will be collecting donations of quality household items, furniture, and clothing on Saturday, January 16 from 10 - 2 at the former Knights of Columbus Hall (behind Subway). Volunteers will also be accepting financial donations at this time.

For more information, check out Perth-Andover & Area Refugee Support on Facebook.

You can also support the effort in Perth-Andover directly through Canada Helps.
