Old Glory Now Flying at Aroostook County Jail and Sheriff’s Office

American Flags were hoisted Friday morning on the newly installed flagpoles at the Aroostook County Jail and Sheriff's Administrative Offices in Houlton.

The Sheriff's Office says this important project has been in the works for some time and has finally come to fruition.

Sgt. Aaron Neureuther and Deputy Stewart Kennedy hoisted the flags in a brief ceremony Friday morning.

The Sheriff's office says it's nice to finally have Old Glory flying at both Houlton locations.

The flags are flying in time for the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on this country.
