Alumni Weekend activities at Northern Maine Community College are slated for Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19 on the NMCC campus.

All alumni, friends of the college, and others in the community are invited to take part in the activities.

Things get underway Thursday evening when the Alumni and Friends Organization sponsors BINGO night for the current students and guests.

On Friday, October 18, activities include the College’s Open House, where visitors will have the opportunity to visit the campus to tour classrooms and lab spaces, and see updated facilities and technology. The annual Alumni Dinner & Awards Ceremony will be held on that evening beginning with a reception at 5:30. Following the reception and Potato Bar meal, the Organization will introduce the new officers for 2020 and announce the recipient of the Torchbearer Award. Robert Rice, Diesel Hydraulics Instructor for twenty-two years will be recognized as the 2019 NMCC Instructor of the Year. Cost for the dinner is $15 per person.

Saturday morning at 10:00, a “Decades Gathering” will be held. Graduates from the years, ’69, ’79, ’89, ’99, 2009 and 2019 will have the opportunity to meet up with old friends and exchange stories. Anyone is invited to attend this event. The cost for the “Decades Gathering” is $9 per person.
