AFC East-Leading Bills Know Better Than to Dismiss Patriots
By JOHN WAWROW AP Sports Writer
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Defensive end Jerry Hughes and the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills know better than to dismiss the New England Patriots in preparing for their first meeting of the season this weekend. At 5-2, the Bills might have an edge in the standings over the 2-4 Patriots, but history hasn't been on Buffalo's side. Though Tom Brady bolted to Tampa Bay this offseason, the Patriots hold a decisive 35-5 edge over Buffalo under coach Bill Belichick. Hughes says Buffalo will be ready, while adding he's going to hold his tongue before making any suggestion a changing of the guard is taking place in the division.
