N.B. Couple Displaced by Mainstream Fire
Two adults have been displaced by a pre-dawn fire that destroyed their house in the farming community of Mainstream, about 10 kilometres east of Hartland, New Brunswick.
Canadian Red Cross volunteers have assisted with emergency purchases like clothing and food for the woman and man who will stay with relatives nearby while awaiting a damage assessment by insurers.
Neither was injured from the fire, which was reported around 4:30 a.m. Monday at 116 Mainstream Road.
