A 47-year-old Moncton man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle accident involving a logging truck near River Glade, New Brunswick.

Police responded to the scene shortly after 1:15 p.m., on Highway 106 at the intersection of Sanitorium Road and River Glade Road.

The 47-year old man who died was lone occupant of his vehicle, according to RCMP Cpl. Clay Wortman of the Riverview Detachment.

The driver of the logging truck was uninjured, while the driver and lone occupant of the third vehicle involved was transported to the hospital, treated and released.

The RCMP collision reconstructionist is investigating the cause of the crash.
