In February of 2019, Miranda Lambert rocked the country world by announcing that not only had she met someone special, but the two had gotten hitched. Now, Lambert is asking for privacy in the wake of an onslaught of fan curiosity and questions about her surprise marriage.

As first reported by Inside Edition, the high profile couple were spotted leaving a New York City airport after landing on an early morning flight from Nashville. Wearing baseball hats pulled low, the couple seemed to want to avoid attracting attention to themselves.

When questioned by reporters, Lambert responded with impatience. "If I say something, will you leave, please?" she commented. "Like, the world should mind its own f--king business."

It's no surprise that Lambert and her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin, have been inundated with curiosity since announcing their marriage. Not only had the superstar never before mentioned him on social media or in interviews, but as far as fans last knew, Lambert was single. She described herself as a "single lady" onstage during a September 2018 show with her group, the Pistol Annies, and said the same in a Tennessean article the month prior.

Plus, who on earth is McLoughlin, anyway? After the couple shared news of their marriage, fans clambered to learn more about Lambert's new husband. Rampant fan sleuthing reveals a series of tweets from the New York Police Department that show that he was an officer with the NYPD in 2015.

Additionally, People reports that he is currently assigned to the department's Midtown South Precinct; additionally, a source tells the outlet that he and Lambert met in November of 2018 while the country star was in town performing with the Pistol Annies. According to a ModelMayhem.com profile, in 2010, McLoughlin lived in Staten Island, N.Y., and is currently around 28 years old.

Lambert recently made her first public appearance onstage since announcing her marriage as a surprise guest during Dierks Bentley's Burning Man tour stop in Nashville on Friday (Feb. 22). Alongside Bentley and Keith Urban, who also made an unannounced appearance, the singer performed a medley of classic country covers.

Lambert's marriage to McLoughlin is her second. She was formerly married to fellow country star Blake Shelton, but the two divorced in July of 2015 after four years of marriage. Subsequently, Lambert dated Anderson East, and later, Turnpike Troubadours frontman Evan Felker.
