Michael Ray and Parmalee will be bringing the heat to Carnaval Maine this year.

Some wintertime fun is back again this year, as organizers gear up for Carnaval Maine 2023. The winter festival in Portland's Old Port is scheduled from March 9, through the 12th. Festivities include warm food, local brews, ice carving, kids events, and live music. Part of the musical festivities this year is Michael Ray and Parmalee.

Headlining the Snow Stage this year:

  • March 9 - The Mallett Brothers Band
  • March 10 - Parmalee
  • March 11 - Michael Ray

Tickets are on-sale now.

As part of the ice carvings is SubZero Ice Carvings in Lisbon. Their work has been recently admired by the likes of Luke Combs and Aerosmith. When both acts came to Bangor this summer, their ice carvings dazzled backstage. Luke's Friday night show featured a four-foot, Maine shaped ice luge that read, "Maine [heart's] Luke Combs.

The ice art made a cameo in Mitchell Tenpenny's tour recap video.

In the video you see M10 take a shot from the luge before hitting the stage for a sold-out crowd.

For night two, SubZero created a guitar, with an outline of Maine where the soundhole would be, and "Luke Combs" below the bridge.

Aerosmith's Sunday night show also featured some cool backstage art. Perched atop the shape of Maine with "50 Years" etched into the center, is an incredibly detailed Aerosmith logo.
