Maren Morris gave fans an extra special treat by performing her own rendition of a Beyonce classic at her concert on Friday night (May 3). If the crowd's roar doesn't tell you anything, she completely nailed it!

The sold-out show took place in New York City at the Brooklyn Steel venue, where Morris performed with support from Raelynn as part of her Girl: The World Tour. She added the song into her already packed set list, surprising fans who screamed along in excitement at the new addition.

Morris has covered "Halo" previously in 2016, putting her own original spin on the song with two acoustic guitars and her voice ringing out. On a previous tour, she even did a mash-up of "Second Wind" and "Halo."

The singer has always been a fan of Beyonce, whom she lists as one of her dream collaborations.

"Well, Beyonce would definitely be having a dry spell if she was ever gonna collaborate with me," Morris jokes in an interview with the Houston Chronicle. "I loved her performance with the Dixie Chicks a couple of years ago at the CMAs when she did 'Daddy Lessons' and they sang 'Long Time Gone.' I think it’d be cool to do some sort of dirty, R&B, bluegrass song with her," she says.

"Halo" isn't the only Beyonce hit Morris has covered. In 2017 she covered her hit "All Night" to the approval of the Bey-hive. Even though her vocals sound country in her own original music, her Beyonce covers bring out the sultry soulfulness in her voice.
