Man Appears in Court in Connection with St. Stephen Woman’s Death

On Christmas Eve of this year, police were called to a Schoodic Street residence in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, shortly after 11:00 am regarding a dispute.

Upon arrival, police found a 52-year-old St. Stephen woman, who was deceased, and an unresponsive 55-year-old man from Little Ridge, New Brunswick.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was released on Wednesday, December 26 and subsequently arrested by police. He was to appear in Saint John Provincial Court on Thursday afternoon, December 27.

The investigation is continuing. Neither the victim nor the arrested man were identified.
