Troop F of the Maine State Police responded to 132 calls for service in and around Aroostook County this past week. Here are the incidents included in their weekly report:

Incident Type: THEFT/TRESPASSING Date: 9/11/2018 Town: BRIDGEWATER Trooper: CPL. QUINT Brief Synopsis: US Border Patrol called the State Police requesting assistance in Bridgewater. They received a report of a man in a field acting strange. Cpl. Quint responded to the area and located the man who was already with Agents. The man is a known user of methamphetamines and had a large amount of metal (wires, radiators, and other metals) in his vehicle. Cpl. Quint was familiar with the man and eventually the man agreed to show Cpl. Quint where the items had been taken from, which was a private junk yard in Blaine. Cpl. Quint contacted the property owner, had the items returned, and issued criminal summons for trespassing and theft.

Incident Type: VIOLATION OF BAIL Date: 9/11/2018 Town: SAINT JOHN Trooper: TR. DESROSIER Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier responded to a report of a male in the roadway acting erratically in Saint John. Tr. Desrosier responded and located the man who was stopping traffic and arguing with drivers. Tr. Desrosier was familiar with the man and knew he had current bail conditions with a stipulation the man could not use/possess liquor. The man was visibly intoxicated and Tr. Desrosier confirmed he consumed liquor using his PBT. The man was arrested and transported to Fort Kent PD.

Incident Type: ASSAULT Date: 9/12/2018 Town: WOODLAND Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr Pescitelli responded to Woodland for a neighbor dispute where a 49-year-old male had threatened to kill the complainant and had thrown a block of wood at her. Tr Pescitelli investigated and summonsed the male for terrorizing and assault.

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 9/12/2018 Town: EASTON Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr Pescitelli was dispatched to Easton where a 28 year-old female complainant reported receiving harassing messages. This female had 4 outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court. Tr Pescitelli responded and did not find anything harassing in the messages and arrested the female on the warrants.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 9/12/2018 Town: CARIBOU Trooper: CPL. MICHAUD Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud charged two men for operating after suspension while working in the Central Aroostook area. One subject was pulled over for his speed and had his license suspended for not paying prior traffic tickets. The second driver was pulled over for having a vehicle defect. His license had been suspended for multiple traffic violations. As well as being cited for Operating After Suspension, the second driver was also cited for not providing proof of insurance, not providing his license, and not providing the vehicle registration.

Incident Type: TRAFFIC SUMMONS Date: 9/13/2018 Town: HODGDON Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr Bell was parked in Hodgdon and observed a 4-door sedan drive past him. Tr Bell ran the registration and found that the plate belonged on a pickup truck. Tr Bell stopped the car, ran a license check of the 62-year-old male operator and found that he was suspended in Florida and did not have a Maine license. The male admitted that his pickup had broken down in Massachusetts and he had bought a car then put the plates on the car. Tr Bell summonsed the male with operating without a license.

Incident Type: FRAUD Date: 9/14/2018 Town: NEW LIMERICK Trooper: TR. SYLVIA Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia began to investigate a fraud complaint when a New Limerick woman reported that someone had attempted to open an account in her name. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 9/15/2018 Town: WALLAGRASS Trooper: TR. CURTIN Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin was contacted by a young woman’s mother regarding concerns she had over her daughter’s boyfriend. Tr. Curtin looked into the matter, and determined that no crimes had been committed, however, the man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.

Incident Type: HIT AND RUN Date: 9/15/2018 Town: MASARDIS Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins received a report of a crash on State Route 11, Masardis. Murray Gorham was parked on the shoulder of the roadway using his cellular phone. A pickup approached Murray’s vehicle from the rear and crashed into the left rear of his vehicle. The pickup crossed the centerline into the path of oncoming traffic nearly missing another vehicle. The truck did not stop and left in an unknown direction. Neither Murray nor his passenger were injured in the crash. Tr. Kilcollins is searching for the vehicle which is suspected to be a later model (2000-2014) red GMC or Chevrolet pickup and is likely in the Oxbow, Masardis, Ashland area. The vehicle would have sustained major damage to the right front.
